Michelle's journey has been filled with ups and downs already on the show's eighteenth season.

Michelle, for instance, felt "unseen," ignored and really disappointed during a group date, but Olumide "Olu" Onajide, a 27-year-old IT analyst from Newark, NJ, expressed his apologies and could relate to Michelle's situation. Olu therefore received a rose.

Michelle also believed Martin Gelbspan, a 29-year-old personal trainer from Miami, FL, had questioned her decision to eliminate his best pal in the house, Jamie Skaar, who had apparently lied to and manipulated The Bachelorette star.

In addition, Chris Sutton, a 28-year-old commodities broker from West Hollywood, CA, and Nayte Olukoya, a 27-year-old sales executive from Austin, TX, got into a heated exchange after Chris S. accused Nayte of being "really cocky" and thinking he had The Bachelorette competition "in the bag."

Michelle also had to send three more men packing: Chris Gallant, a 28-year-old motivational speaker from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; Romeo Alexander, a 32-year-old mathematician from New York City, NY; and Will Urena, a 28-year-old academic interventionist from Grand Rapids, MI.

However, Martin won over Michelle and earned her trust -- and a rose -- by opening up about his faults and insecurities, and Michelle also enjoyed a romatic date in nature with Rick Leach, a 32-year-old medical sales representative from Los Angeles, CA.

After Rick shared his difficult past regarding his father's affair and parents' broken marriage, he expressed to Michelle how he was "falling in love" with her and couldn't wait until he could finally say "I love you."

"I was not ready for that," Michelle sweetly said before kissing the suitor and giving him a rose.

Episode 5 of The Bachelorette is set to air on Tuesday, November 16 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.

"Being close to home has its perks and so this week, one lucky guy will get to pull back the curtain on the places and things that made her who she is today, while another will get to meet some of the people who did," ABC teased of the next broadcast.

Based on a preview of the upcoming episode, it appears Joe and Nayte receive one-on-one dates with Michelle in Minnesota, where Joe is also from.

"I'm looking for a guy who's not scared to dive in," Michelle says in a preview ABC released of the next episode.

Michelle and Joe play basketball again, and the Bachelorette and Nayte watch a fireworks display. Michelle says she feels "fireworks" for one bachelor, presumably Nayte.

"I'm looking for something that I've never felt before," Nayte shares.

As for the week's group date, Michelle's group of bachelors will take on real Viking challenges to showcase their strength and bravery.

Michelle also apparently bakes a cake for Brandon Jones, a 26-year-old traveling nurse recruiter from Portland, OR; deepens her connection with Rick during a group date; and has a makeout session with Martin.

Meanwhile, Chris Sutton complains about Michelle's alleged "infatuation" with Nayte and says he got "the short end of the stick."

More drama also ensues, with Joe apparently crashing Michelle and Nayte's one-on-one date.

"I can't do this anymore," Michelle complains.

But Michelle explains, "If I get heartbroken, then that's on me."

"It's a week full of fun and games, but some men seem to have games of their own in mind. Will Michelle show the troublemakers the door?" ABC teased of Episode 5.

When asked to describe Michelle's season as a whole, The Bachelorette co-hosts Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe recently told Extra TV that it was like "a fairy tale," suggesting Michelle may have found true love.

And Michelle has teased she's "happy" with her season.

"With where I'm at right now in my life in general, I love where I'm at," the Minnesota native said, adding, "I love that I was able to stay true to myself and I love what the future looks like."

In addition to Olu, Nayte, Brandon, Joe, Chris S., Martin, and Rick, the men remaining on The Bachelorette are Casey Woods, a 36-year-old advertising creative director from Miami Beach, FL; Leroy Arthur, a 27-year-old biomedical Ph.D. student from Dallas, TX; Rodney Mathews, a 29-year-old sales representative from Rancho Cucamonga, CA; and Clayton Echard, a 28-year-old medical sales representative from Columbia, MO.

So who is Michelle's winner and runner-up of The Bachelorette this season, and did she get engaged at the Final Rose Ceremony of Season 18?

According to Reality Steve spoiler blogger Steve Carbone, Joe made it all the way to Michelle's Final 4 bachelors, meaning he received a hometown date.

However, Carbone is unsure whether Joe finished in fourth after hometowns or third place after an overnight Fantasy Suite date.

"I know that Joe goes far and makes her Top 4... but I don't think that's news to anyone at this point. But in terms of where Joe finishes or how he gets eliminated, that I don't know," Carbone wrote in a November 9 blog post.

"As for who the 4th person in the Final 4 is, don't know that either."

Carbone also isn't sure whether Michelle actually visited each Final 4 bachelor's hometown or whether makeshift hometown dates were set up to avoid frequent travel amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

"Certainly none of the hometown dates were seen publicly which never happens... I don't think they ended up traveling for Michelle's hometowns and I think families were brought to Minnesota like they have been for all the 'bubble' seasons," Carbone wrote, referring to The Bachelor or The Bachelorette seasons that starred Tayshia Adams, Matt James and Katie Thurston.

As for Michelle's runner-up bachelor, Carbone reported that Brandon Jones finished in second place.

It's therefore probably safe to assume Brandon had his heart broken, probably at the Final Rose Ceremony of Season 18.

"Her #2 is Brandon Jones," Carbone tweeted at the beginning of October.

Carbone said he previously received pictures of Michelle and her runner-up enjoying a date on September 7, just two days before The Bachelorette's Final Rose Ceremony filmed in Mexico on September 9.

Carbone wrote in his blog on October 6, "Until yesterday, I only had pics of who it was, but couldn't identify who it was."

"Thanks to ABC's preview of Michelle's season [that aired during Bachelor in Paradise's Season 7 finale], I've now been able to lock down who that final 2 guy was -- Brandon Jones," he claimed.

Carbone apparently matched the bachelor's outfit in the preview with what the man had been wearing in the photos someone had sent him.

Michelle and Brandon enjoyed a horseback riding date on Michelle's season as well as a fun day on the water riding jetskis.

Carbone also revealed the alleged winner of Michelle's The Bachelorette season on October 5.

"The main thing you want to know is what happened at the end, right?" Carbone wrote in his blog at the time.

"Well, I got that for you. Had heard rumblings since the season ended but got the confirmation I needed the end of last week."

The man Michelle reportedly gave her final rose to was Nayte Olukoya.

And Carbone reported that Nayte decided to propose marriage during the show's finale and so the pair got engaged!

Eyewitnesses had spotted Michelle and her winner on a The Bachelorette date back in August.

"They took a pontoon boat out on Lake Minnetonka then arrived at Lord Fletchers where Michelle & Nayte played volleyball with her two friends," Carbone tweeted at the time.

So far on The Bachelorette season, Nayte has been consistent in his connection with Michelle and finds little ways to help Michelle let loose and have a good time. They have obvious chemistry, but Nayte has gotten involved in some drama.

According to his ABC bio, Nayte is a 6'8" and originally from Winnipeg, Canada. He attended college at Eastern Washington University and most recently worked for Indeed.com.

Nayte told ABC that his dream woman is outgoing, spontaneous and has enough swagger to keep up with him. He has been looking for a hot connection with a passionate woman as well as a teammate for life.

It sounds like Nayte and Michelle could be a great match considering ABC recently shared, "Michelle has big dreams for the future and says she wants a man by her side that is supportive and driven to make the world a better place."

"She is looking for the Superman to her Superwoman and is ready to find a love with whom she can start a family of her own."

Michelle finished The Bachelor's 25th season starring Matt James, which filmed last year and wrapped on TV in March, in second place and left the show devastated.

Michelle was announced on After the Final Rose in March as one of two The Bachelorette stars -- along with Katie Thurston -- for back-to-back seasons in 2021.
