A gun photographed on the Babyshambles tour bus does not belong to troubled front man Pete Doherty, a spokesman for the British band says.

Although Mick Whitnall, 38, is the band member holding a double barrel shotgun pointed toward the cameraman, reports soon surfaced that the gun actually belonged to Doherty, a convicted drug addict who was recently denied a gun permit, The Daily Mail reported Saturday.
A spokesman for the rock band told the Mail the gun belongs to Whitnall and is merely a prop, not a working firearm.
"Babyshambles have never had working guns on their tour bus," the spokesman said. "Last December, Mick Whitnall bought a decommissioned antique shotgun while on tour to Bristol. The band also had a toy plastic gun on board the bus."
No matter whether the gun is real or not, Mothers Against Guns spokeswoman Lucy Cope said she was not amused.
"It's disgusting that Babyshambles should be glamorizing gun culture," she said.
