St. John's Hospital in Maplewood said Christina Albright, 19, mother of baby Tessa Peters, took home a gift basket alongside her newborn with items including a hand-knit sweater, blanket and booties, the St. Paul (Minn.) Pioneer-Press reported Thursday.
Tessa Peters, who also received baby books, wipes and a plush giraffe in the gift basket, was the 100th baby born at the hospital's maternity ward this month, which marks the 100th anniversary of the facility's opening.
The hospital said all babies born this month will receive commemorative picture frames, but only the 100th infant received a gift basket.
