A high court judge in Alice Springs awarded the damages to Ivene Denise Bryan, who was employed by the Northern Territory Parks to feed captive wallabies and bandicoots.
In June 1994, Bryan was entering her office when a ram butted her in the back and she was thrown more than 7 feet, the Australian Broadcasting Corp. reported Thursday.
The ram stood over her as she called out for help for more than half an hour.
Authorities said the ram had escaped from an adjoining fenced area that was managed by the territory parks.
The judge ruled the parks commission breached its duty of care, resulting in several injuries to Bryan including severe and debilitating back pain.
