America Online is sure to ruffle some feathers by picking the Top 11 Fourth of July TV celebration shows -- and leaving Boston off.

Lake Tahoe, Nev., made the list but not Boston, which is regarded by many -- especially those in Boston -- as a sort of perennial champ, says the Boston Herald.
Keith Lockhart, the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra pops conductor, says he thinks the AOL list is a dud, proving that "the Internet has taken us away from real life."
The AOL list does include Washington; New York; Chicago; Philadelphia; Orlando, Fla.; St. Louis; Miami; San Diego; Houston; and New Orleans.
