Anderson Cooper is to appear on "Late Show with David Letterman" in New York, CBS said.

The broadcast journalist is to sit for an interview for Wednesday's edition of "Late Show."
It will mark his first late-night talk-show interview since returning from Egypt.
"Cooper spent the last week reporting for CNN on the growing unrest in Cairo, and he and his crew were attacked on two separate occasions, forcing Cooper to go into hiding and report from an undisclosed location," CBS said in a news release Monday.
