A man dressed as Captain America was arrested last weekend in Florida after violating his costume's implied ideals and allegedly groping a stranger.

While physician Raymond Adamcik was dressed as the all-American superhero at the On Tap Cafe & Lounge in Melbourne, Fla., the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported Tuesday that he acted uncharacteristically by allegedly harassing a female customer.

Darlene Munson, who owns the restaurant where the Saturday incident occurred, said the temporary Captain America was ultimately bested by the woman's boyfriend.

After being knocked to the ground by the jealous boyfriend, Adamcik was arrested by police. He was later allegedly caught attempting to flush marijuana down the toilet.

Munson said the alleged amorous outburst by Adamcik, who had no criminal priors, was likely the result of a mask's anonymity and too much alcohol.

"I guess when you add liquor and superhero costumes, it creates stuff like this," he told the newspaper.
