The first crush of "American Idol" winner Taylor Hicks has contacted People magazine after Hicks recently told the publication all about her.

In its current issue, the magazine reported that Christy Lee Worsham phoned in to tell her side of the story, two weeks after the "Idol" star discussed his youthful crush on her.

"I don't think I realized how big his crush was until I read about it," the 32-year-old stay-at-home mother told People.

In response to the 29-year-old Hicks' comments that he still harbors an attraction for older women, Worsham responded diplomatically.

"I'm married," she said. "But I'd love to reconnect. He was like a brother to me."
