'American Idol 5' runner-up Katharine McPhee marries Nick Cokas

Pop singer Katharine McPhee has married her producer boyfriend, Nick Cokas, in Beverly Hills, Calif., People magazine reported.

The "American Idol" star's representative confirmed to People that the 23-year-old singer had married her 42-year-old boyfriend Saturday at the Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church.
McPhee, who was the runner-up on the fifth season of the hit Fox reality series, told People her wedding was the perfect occasion.
"(Nick) is the love of my life," McPhee said. "This is a once in a lifetime occasion and everything is just perfect."
The couple met in 2005 while working on a Los Angeles theater production of "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir." They went from being just friends to becoming romantically involved -- and became engaged last year after Cokas proposed with a custom-designed engagement ring, People said.
