The Suffolk County Police Department said Kevin Daly, 22, of Coram, crashed his 2000 Saturn into a police car at 1:45 a.m. Thursday while attempting to turn east onto Route 25A from County Road 83, the New York Post reported Friday.
Police said the officer was treated for minor injuries at Stony Brook University Medical Center. Daly was not injured.
Daly, who was charged with driving while intoxicated and issued several traffic citations, was wearing a T-shirt reading, "I'm not an alcoholic. I'm a drunk. Alcoholics go to meetings."
