Three orphaned Alaskan moose calves, each weighing 150 pounds, have found a new home at the Columbus Zoo, officials say.

The calves arrived at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium mid-July. Two are twins, a male and a female born May 17, and the third is a female that was born June 3, The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch reported.
The three orphans are drinking milk from a bottle, each drinking about 8 cups of milk a day. They eat leaves and bark provided by zookeepers.
Not many zoos have moose, as they are difficult to feed, said Lori Monska, the Columbus Zoo's keeper for moose, adding that the zoo had four moose before the calves arrived.
"These babies look at you with their big brown eyes, and it just melts your heart," said Jack Hanna, former director of the Columbus Zoo.
