Airport Director John Martin said the 150-square-foot Yoga Room was added to the terminal during the recent renovations to make the experience of passing through the airport more enjoyable, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Tuesday.
"When we began to remodel Terminal 2, one of our goals was not just to bring the glamour back to air travel but also to make the entire experience less stressful and more enjoyable," he said. "With the opening of the Yoga Room, SFO has taken another giant leap forward in providing our travelers the opportunity and space to relax and decompress on their own terms."
Martin said the room includes a mirrored wall and provides chairs and yoga mats for visitors.
