The 37-year-old Maroon 5 frontman and "The Voice" coach gushed about his impending fatherhood to "Entertainment Tonight."

"I'm going to be a [expletive] dad! I'm so excited!" he said. "They let me make a baby! They let me make a baby!"

Levine and Prinsloo married in 2014 and announced in March they're expecting their first child.

The singer was equally enthusiastic about parenthood when he appeared on "The Tonight Show" in April.

"[I'm] super excited," he told host Jimmy Fallon. "[Behati] is good. She's eating a lot of watermelon. Like, you know, because you get random cravings for stuff, and it's just like, so much watermelon."

Levine will return as a coach on "The Voice" Season 11, which premieres Sept. 19 on NBC. Sammy Hagar, the onetime frontman for Van Halen, will act as Levine's team advisor during the season.

"It'll be the greatest day of your life, the day that baby is born," Hagar told the singer.
