"I met him a short time before he flew to Algeria," actress Suad al-Mohammad told Gulf News. "He was in good spirits and seemed in good health. We talked about the arts scene in the country. He was a great person."
KUNA quoted Kuwait's National Council of Culture, Arts and Letters as saying the actor's death "was a grave loss for the artistic and theatrical movement in Kuwait."
Mansour was in Algeria for a drama festival. He died Wednesday while preparing to travel home and his brother is expected to fly to Algeria to claim his remains, Gulf News said Thursday.
Mansour was the older brother of actors Mohammad, Hussein, Eissa and the late director Abd al-Aziz al-Mansour, al-Bawaba reported.
Among Mansour's recent work was the television drama "Al-Julaib."
