ABC and Global Television jointly announced Tuesday the renewal of the Toronto-shot drama series, "Rookie Blue," for a fourth season.

The fresh run of episodes is currently in development and will move into production in the Canadian city later this summer, the networks said.
"Rookie Blue" is a one-hour, original series about five rookie police officers as they navigate their first years on the beat.
It stars Missy Peregrym, Gregory Smith, Charlotte Sullivan, Enuka Okuma, Travis Milne, Peter Mooney and Ben Bass.
