"NYPD Blue" will air its final episode March 1 and quietly mark the end of the once-hot program's 12 years on ABC.

The two-hour finale will be "without the hoopla that has surrounded other finales in recent years," the New York Post reported.
ABC, which has not divulged how the series that began in March 1993 will wrap up, said it will broadcast all 22 episodes of the final season without inserting repeats.
