Casting has begun for future installments of "Extreme Makeover," following the tremendous success of the ABC's one-hour special, "Extreme Makeover," which originally aired on Wednesday, December 11 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET), and was rebroadcast with new footage of the three cast members on Wednesday, December 18 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET).

Candidates can visit abc.com, keyword: makeover, or call (818) 842-2796 for information on how to apply and eligibility requirements. Participants must be U.S. citizens, at least 21 years of age and in good physical health.

Completed participant applications, along with a two-minute tape stating why you want to be considered as a candidate for "Extreme Makeover," can be sent to the following address (the deadline for receiving tapes is January 24, 2003):

The one-hour special, "Extreme Makeover," took three individuals -- Stacey, Stephanie and Luke, chosen from among thousands of applicants across the country - and changed their looks completely in an effort to transform their lives and destinies, and to make their dreams come true. This was all be accomplished through the skills of a group of doctors, a plastic surgeon, an eye surgeon and a cosmetic dentist, along with a talented team of hair and makeup artists, stylists and personal trainers.

"Extreme Makeover" attracted an average of 13.2 million viewers when it aired on the ABC Television Network on December 11. The show won its hour among Adults 18-49, beating NBC's "West Wing" by 14% (5.8/14 vs. 5.1/12). In addition the show led its hour among Adults 18-34 (4.9/14) and in each of the key Women demos: Women 18-49 (7.4/18), Women 18-34 (6.4/18) and Women 25-54 (7.5/16).
