90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days star Ed Brown admits he's learned from his mistakes and he never should have lied to Rosemarie Vega about his appearance and plans for their future.

Ed, a 54-year-old San Diego, CA, and Rosemarie, a 23-year-old from the Philippines, are currently starring on the fourth season of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days.

Ed and Rose were shown meeting in-person for the first time in the Philippines during Sunday night's episode of the series, but Ed started out their relationship with lies he won't be able to take back.

Not only did Ed tell Rose he's 5'2" rather than his real height of 4'11", but he also wants to get a vasectomy when Rose -- who's already a mother to a four-year-old son Prince -- desires having two more children, hopefully a girl and a boy.

During a lengthy interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ed joked he's just over 5'0" with shoes on.

"So, I wasn't completely honest with Rose about [my height] and a couple of other things," Ed acknowledged.

"It's never a good idea to lie. You have to be honest and I'm learning that even if you have strong feelings for someone, it's better to get it out in the open. If not, it's gonna come back and bite you."

Ed, who is already a father to 29-year-old Tiffany from his first marriage, revealed to ET his lies did, in fact, come back to haunt him.

"Oh, yeah. Oh, you just wait," Ed teased of problems to come.

Ed admitted he's already been chewed out by 90 Day Fiance fans for being dishonest.

However, Ed intended to change his ways once he became more serious with Rose, and he said he's trying to become a better man with each passing day.

"I don't think I could've made a better fool of myself," Ed admitted to the website.

Before getting involved with Rose, it had been 28 years since Ed was last in a relationship with a woman. It's probably therefore safe to say Ed was a little out of practice in the dating world.

"When you're in love, you're not thinking. You're not thinking about anybody else but yourself and the person you're in love with," Ed reasoned.

"And I was frustrated because nobody understood. Like, my daughter didn't understand. She was like, 'Dad, she's 23,' and I'm like, 'I know, but you don't understand what it feels like to be admired after 28 years.' It was such a wonderful feeling and I hadn't had that in years."

Tiffany didn't seem to appreciate or respect Ed's relationship with Rose given their huge age difference, and so they went about a month without talking.

But Tiffany at least wished her father well before he boarded his flight to the Philippines -- and that meant the world to the photographer.

"She was hurting. She was sending me texts saying, 'Ed, this is a bad idea,' or 'Dad, don't do this,' but I wasn't listening," Ed disclosed, "and that hurt her more than anything. We're better now, that's all I can say. And I learned a lot from that experience, too."

In Ed's opinion, age doesn't really matter when it comes to love.

"Age is a number. It's what's in the heart and I want people to follow their heart," Ed shared. "I think that's the most important thing. And be smart -- but I have no regrets."

In the latest episode of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days, Ed and Rose embraced in the airport after Ed flew over 17 hours to see her.

"I think I have an amazing personality, but I know I'm not attractive. Rose is most definitely out of my league," Ed told the cameras.

Ed said meeting Rose was an "out-of-body experience" and she was definitely the woman of his dreams.

Rose confessed she had expected Ed to be taller or at least her own height, and she called him "really big," but she still found her man attractive and thought everything was okay.

Ed's plan was to return to America as an engaged man, but he and Rose still had a lot to learn about each other.

90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days' fourth season currently airs on Sunday nights at 8PM ET/PT on TLC.
