"Thank you so much for all your support and prayers. Home health care will now look after her in the comfort of her home. You guys are amazing! Thank you, again!"

After being found unresponsive in her home on Sunday morning, Ashley was hospitalized and treated in the ICU because her battle with lupus had "put her into kidney failure."

Ashley then revealed Tuesday on Instagram she underwent surgery in which doctors placed a catheter in her abdomen to serve as the access site for peritoneal dialysis.

"Doctors are hopeful that dialysis will be temporary and that it will aid in helping her kidneys repair themselves... Please continue to pray that this works and that Ashley will not need a kidney transplant. Either way Ashley will be down for quite some time," the Tuesday posting stated.

But then on Wednesday night, Ashley confirmed in an Instagram Live video she expected to go home the next day and probably won't need a kidney transplant after all.

"So far, things are going better than expected. It looks like I won't need to go on a [kidney] donor list or anything," she said, later adding, "It's looking like dialysis is the only treatment I'll need right now."

Ashley admitted she was "sick and tired of being in the hospital" and couldn't wait to go home.

Ashley is now in the process of recovering and getting her life back on track.

On Friday, she asked fans in her Instagram Stories whether anyone would be willing to share food recipes with her specifically designed for her health condition.

"If anyone suffers from lupus and lives by a special diet they truly feels helps, please dm me some recipes. Even if it's just snacks. Thank you," Ashley wrote.

Ashley will be able to use money raised by fans and kind donors in her GoFundMe account to pay for her medical and hospitalization bills.

As of Friday morning, Ashley's GoFundMe page raised over $3,800, inching towards the $5,000 goal.

Ashley's husband, Jay Smith -- who starred on Season 6 of TLC's 90 Day Fiance with Ashley -- was with Ashley when she was in the hospital although their marriage is currently on the rocks because Ashley discovered he was on Tinder only a couple of days after their Las Vegas wedding.

As shown on 90 Day Fiance's recently-concluded season, Ashley was completely devastated and has been struggling to decide whether to leave Jay -- and send him back to his native country of Jamaica -- or give him another chance and allow him to stay in the United States.
