90 Day Diaries follows former 90 Day Fiance cast members navigating their lives after the show, providing viewers with an intimate view into their homes, plans and daily struggles.

Some of the footage is self-shot, similar to how cast members filmed themselves for 90 Day Fiance: Self-Quarantined.

90 Day Diaries chronicles not just successful 90 Day Fiance couples but also numerous 90 Day Fiance alums who didn't see their original 90 Day Fiance relationship work out. The cast members have attempted to begin new romances after the failure of their prior overseas relationships.

The season will feature more cast members in the coming weeks, but below is what happened on Episode 3 of 90 Day Diaries' fourth season.

BRANDON and JULIA

Brandon and Julia were living in Richmond, Virginia together at the time this episode filmed. The pair dated for five months before they got engaged and then Brandon filed for the K-1 visa.

When Julia arrived to the United States, she and Brandon had to live on the farm with Brandon's parents. After overcoming some obstacles, such as Julia's fear of the animals, they got married and are still happy to this day.

After a year on the farm, they moved into an apartment in Richmond. Their lease on the apartment was up, and Julia had been pushing for a change.

"I am also open to a different life. A couple months ago, we took a cruise and met a gentleman named Mark," Brandon shared.

Mark had told the couple that he has a painting company in Florida, and so Brandon and Julia met up with him in Ocala, FL, for a chat. Mark had said that while he couldn't hire the pair for this own company, he would provide them with contacts.

Brandon and Julia could also work as painters until they could find more appropriate jobs. Brandon was a former pest-control specialist, and Julia was looking for a job in design.

Brandon ultimately decided to quit his job in pest control, and so he and Julia were shown packing up their apartment so they could move to Florida. The couple planned to stay with Mark until they could find a place of their own.

But Mark needed a little more time, and so Brandon and Julia were going to stay at his parents' farm until they were ready to go.

Brandon admitted this move was going to be "a huge surprise" for his parents, and Julia feared Betty and Ron would "hate her forever" for taking her little boy away from them.

Betty and Ron popped some champagne once their son and daughter-in-law arrived, but Brandon knew he had a bomb to drop on them. Betty said it felt so great to have the couple back in her home, and Ron advised Brandon and Julia to start organizing their future.

With that being said, Brandon announced he and Julia were moving to Florida, and Betty replied, "Are you kidding me?!"

Once Brandon revealed that he had quit his job, Betty stormed out of the room. She had been hoping this was just a joke, and she admitted to the cameras that she felt "totally overwhelmed" and needed to "cry it out" for awhile.

Ron was disappointed to hear that Brandon and Julia were going to be painters, and Betty was also upset about having been blindsided. Brandon's parents didn't think the announcement had been delivered in a respectful way, and Ron didn't want to see his son painting after four years of college.

Mark told Brandon and Julia that they'd be making $1,000 per week, which Ron said would make them a comfortable living. However, Betty didn't want to see them go, and she said she needed to lay down after hearing this news.

ELLA and JOHNNY

Ella and her friend Korbie were shown going out to buy decorations at a craft store for Johnny's arrival in America. She wanted a sign that read "781 days in the making" or something along those lines.

Johnny, who has a six-year-old son, met Ella two years prior on an international dating website. They both love anime and got pretty serious after a year together.

"We definitely hope to get married in the near future and start a family together," Ella shared in a confessional.

The pair hadn't met in person yet due to coronavirus restrictions and risks, and Ella confessed that she was beginning to lose faith Johnny would ever come to the United States and be with her.

But Johnny begged and pleaded with Ella to wait seven more months until February 2022, when he claimed they would finally meet and fix their relationship.

Ella and Johnny were coming up on the February deadline, and Johnny had apparently booked a plane ticket. Ella expected Johnny to arrive in about a week, and she gushed about being so excited to see him again.

Johnny's visa was going to last for six months, and Ella explained to Korbie how this was going to be a "do or die" moment for their relationship. Ella also wanted children and so she pointed out how her clock was "ticking" and she finally needed to meet Johnny in person.

Since Johnny didn't want to come for a short trip, he needed to resign from his job. Johnny therefore needed a resignation letter and stamp of approved in order to be hired in a different job in China down the road.

Johnny's employer, however, wouldn't stamp his paperwork, and so Johnny predicted it would take an extra 30 days before he could fly to America, which left Ella feeling hurt, upset and frustrated. Ella wanted to support Johnny, but she was tired of him letting her down.

"Do you want to have a future with me or not? Because I know you are my future," Ella said.

"I so yes, baby. I think I really love you and I'm really trying," Johnny insisted. "So maybe I'll just ask the government what they can do."

Johnny said it's important to be able to provide for his family members in China, but if he decided to stay in his home country, he'd lose Ella.

"I am so torn," Johnny lamented to the cameras.

Later that week, Ella revealed that Johnny had canceled on her again and was trying to reschedule his trip again.

Ella said Johnny repeatedly apologized but she didn't feel "important enough" to him to make him follow through on his words.

Ella finally found the person she wanted to spend the rest of her life with, and so she said she was willing to wait for him since she loved him and he's an amazing person.

But Ella was going to draw the line at waiting another year.

FERNANDA

Fernanda finally arrived in Riga, Latvia after a long trip. She was shown getting ready for her boyfriend Noel's fight. Noel, a 31-year-old from Armenia, is a professional boxer and he was about to have his first boxing match after COVID-19.

Fernanda knew she was going to meet Noel's family, and so she was excited but also very nervous.

Fernanda had been married to Jonathan Rivera, but she said their relationship was filled with drama and she had caught Jonathan allegedly lying to her about many things.

Fernanda said Jonathan was just "too much" for her and so they separated six months after their wedding. Their divorce got finalized about a year-and-a-half prior to this episode being filmed.

Fernanda moved to Chicago to be near family after her divorce, and then two years later, she moved to Miami for a fresh start. In the process of looking for an apartment, Fernanda found a roommate in Noel, who later became her boyfriend.

"It's been a year since we've been dating," Fernanda shared. "After my divorce, I couldn't leave the U.S. due to immigration paperwork, so I had to wait. But now, I can travel everywhere I want."

Noel had grown up in Germany and his family still lives there, and so Fernanda and Noel planned to visit his family after the fight so she could meet them for the first time. It was going to be a big step in their relationship, and Fernanda hoped his family would like her.

Fernanda said Noel is very close with his family and his mother only speaks Russian, German and Armenian. Since Fernanda doesn't speak any of those languages, she feared about how she was going to communicate with her.

Fernanda didn't want to see Noel get hurt or be at risk, but she was excited to finally see the results of his training. 90 Day Fiance cameras were not allowed into the match, but Noel ended up winning.

Two days after Noel's victory, he and Fernanda headed to Germany to Noel's mother's home in Hamburg. She met Noel's brother Abel, sister Liliya, and mother Ninel.

Noel had never introduced a formal girlfriend to his parents before, and so Fernanda being in his mother's home and sitting at the dinner table with his family was a really big deal.

Fernanda told Noel that she was going to be the first and "last" woman he'd be bringing home to meet his family.

Fernanda shared with Noel's family how they both had professional goals they wanted to achieve before personal ones, and Abel liked to hear how Fernanda is an independent woman. He thought Fernanda was a perfect match for his brother, and Fernanda and Noel seemed to want the same things out of life.

Fernanda got along very well with Noel's family, and she said she felt like she fit in with them, which made her even more excited about their future together.

LARRY and JENNY

Larry and Jenny met about five years prior to this episode being filmed. They started talking every day and then Larry traveled to the Philippines to meet his love interest, where he discovered there were a lot of cultural differences, including the food.

The couple, however, got through it, and Jenny accepted his marriage proposal at the end of the trip.

Larry then flew back to the United States, applied for the K-1 visa, and welcomed Jenny into America a couple years later. Jenny said her wedding day was the best day of her life, and Larry said he's so happy about having tied the knot with the love of his life.

Larry and Jenny said they had been living in Texas for about three months, and they were enjoying a fun and happy life.

Larry decided to take Jenny out on a date night in Austin, and she even attempted to ride a mechanical bull. Neither Jenny or Larry lasted long on the bull, but Jenny determined that she liked Austin.

Jenny said it was nice to see Larry happy because he had been stressed as of lately.

Larry had worked for his son for about a month but it became a toxic environment. Larry also didn't like the hard construction labor with little pay, and so he decided to leave that job and go to a big-box store where he could make a bigger paycheck.

Larry's son stopped speaking to him, and two months had apparently gone by without a response. Larry felt his son Lawrence owed him an apology, but Larry was prepared to apologize first just so they could fix their relationship and get things back on track.

Larry was therefore shown driving to Lawrence. The pair used to be best friends, and so Larry didn't want to lose that relationship in his life.

Larry surprised Lawrence, who had his kids in the office at the time. Larry described his son as "hard," and they had never fought like this before.

"I never wanted my dad to work for me. He is a lazy worker," Lawrence claimed. "He's never been able to hold a steady job, but he said he wasn't going to give up on me, and so I caved. And about a month later, he did give up on me and he quit."

Lawrence told the cameras how his dad's behavior left "a bad taste" in his mouth.

Larry said "sorry" for not sticking with the job and for leaving him and the grandkids, but Lawrence said Larry lasting three weeks even impressed him. Larry admitted he wasn't cut out for hard labor but would never quit on Lawrence as a dad.

Lawrence appreciated the visit and Larry's ability to admit his faults. Lawrence said Larry is "a good father but a terrible employee."

Larry asked to put tension aside and just work on their relationship again, and Lawrence agreed.

CORTNEY

Cortney was shown attending an aerial yoga class with her friends Sandy and Lexi, a mother and daughter duo.

Cortney admitted she had been lazy during the pandemic, eating and drinking a lot, and so she was trying to make a positive change for herself.

When Cortney was 26 years old, she was in a relationship with a man named Antonio, a male model from Spain. Cortney thought Antonio was gorgeous, funny, sweet and charming, but she felt he was "charming all the ladies."

Cortney's relationship with Antonio therefore didn't work out, and so after she broke up with him, she entered a relationship with Andy, a man she had met during quarantine.

"But it was just unhealthy and I needed to get out of there," Cortney admitted.

After Andy, Cortney dated a man named Andrew for about a year, but then she broke up him because he had allegedly decided to go grocery shopping instead of hanging out with her.

Cortney described her current dating life as "not promising," but she was clearly having fun with her girlfriends.

The three girls agreed that dating in Orlando was "trash," and Cortney said she was tired of messaging men, who never really asked her out or made moves.

Cortney had received her real estate license a few months prior, but she had yet to sign to a brokerage. Cortney said her "dating cleanse" was a good thing and hopefully being employed, more "mentally stable," and fit would help her meet a higher-caliber man.

Cortney proceeded to reach out to a friend, Jess, for some advice on how to be a real estate agent. Cortney said her social anxiety had been high for months and she was scared to fail.

Jess thought Cortney would need to work on communicating more with the person who would be showing her a property. Jess also joked about how tile and wood are two different materials.

After doing a walk-through with Jess, Cortney realized real estate was not as glamorous or easy as she had been anticipating. Cortney acknowledged she'd have to work very hard because she was tired of waiting for a man to take care of her.

Cortney was ready to focus on herself and better herself for her next relationship.
