Months of speculation have ended with the announcement by 20th Century Fox that work is under way on a sequel to its hit, "Fantastic Four."

Director Tim Story and writer Mark Frost are both back for round two, which is expected to hit U.S. movie screens on July 4, 2007, The Hollywood Reporter said.
The original film grossed more than $154 million domestically, The Reporter noted.
