The finalists for the 2015 Billboard Music Awards have been announced, and many of the nominees have ties to reality television.

Dick clark productions and Billboard have disclosed the finalists for the upcoming awards ceremony, honoring the year's most successful artists in 41 categories.

The 2015 Billboard Music Awards will broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 17 on ABC from 8-11PM ET/PT.

Taylor Swift, who served as the universal mentor on The Voice's seventh season, has a whopping 14 entries in 13 categories. She is in the running to receive some of the show's biggest awards -- including Top Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, and Top Digital Songs Artist.

Taylor is also a finalist for Top Female Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top Social Artist, Top Streaming Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album for 1989, Top Hot 100 Song for "Shake It Off," Top Digital Song for "Shake It Off," Top Streaming Song [Video] for "Blank Space," Top Streaming Song [Video] for "Shake It Off," and the Billboard Chart Achievement Award.

Newcomer Meghan Trainor, who advised coach Blake Shelton's team during The Voice's eighth-season "Battle Round," is a finalist in nine categories.

Meghan is featured in the following categories: Top New Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Digital Songs Artist, Top Streaming Artist, Top Hot 100 Song for "All About That Bass," Top Digital Song for "All About That Bass," Top Streaming Song [Video] for "All About That Bass," and the Billboard Chart Achievement Award.

Four-time Billboard Music Award winner Pharrell Williams, a two-time The Voice coach, has produced 38 Top 40 hit singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Six of those singles have reached the No. 1 spot.

For the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, Pharrell is finalist for Top Male Artist, Top R&B Artist, Top R&B Album for G I R L, Top Digital Song for "Happy," Top Radio Song for "Happy," and Top R&B Song for "Happy."

Blake, a mainstay coach on The Voice, is in the Top Country Artist category. His wife Miranda Lambert, who previously competed on Nashville Star and also served as an advisor for "Team Shakira" on The Voice, is a finalist in the Top Country Album category for Platinum.

Maroon 5 is up for Top Duo/Group, Top Radio Songs Artist, and Top Billboard 200 Album for V. Adam Levine, who has served as a coach on The Voice since its first season with Blake, is the frontman of the group.

Carrie Underwood won American Idol's fourth season. She's nominated for Top Christian Song with "Something in the Water."

French Montana -- the on-again, off-again boyfriend of Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Khloe Kardashian -- is a finalist for Top R&B Song with "Loyal."

Lil Jon, who has competed on The Celebrity Apprentice, is a finalist in the Top Dance/Electronic Song category for his "Turn Down For What" hit featuring DJ Snake.

Former American Idol judge Nicki Minaj is up for Top Rap Artist, Top Streaming Artist, Top Rap Album for The Pinkprint, and Top Rap Song for "Anaconda."

One Direction, a boyband that came out of The X Factor in the UK, is a finalist in the following categories: Top Artist, Top Duo/Group, Top Billboard 200 Artist, and Top Touring Artist.

Pentatonix, who won a season of The Singoff, is up for Top Billboard 200 Artist as well as Top Billboard 200 Album for That's Christmas to Me.

Kylie Jenner's boyfriend Tyga was nominated for Top R&B Song with his song "Loyal."

Billboard Music Awards finalists are determined by fan interactions with music -- including album and digital songs sales, radio airplay, streaming, social media touring and interactions, YouTube, Spotify and other popular online destinations for music.

Allen Shapiro, Mike Mahan, Mark Bracco, Barry Adelman and Robert Deaton are executive producers of the 2015 Billboard Music Awards.
