Only one week after getting married again, country singer Jason Aldean is talking kids with new wife Brittany Kerr.

"In the next couple of years, probably, we definitely want to have kids," Aldean, 38, told People while walking the red carpet with Kerr for the first time as newlyweds at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Sunday.

Aldean is already a father to 12-year-old Keeley and seven-year-old Kendyl with his ex-wife Jessica Ussery.

"They want a brother, so we'll see what we can do about that," Aldean said.

The couple wed on the evening of March 21 in Mexico. Since then -- although they haven't enjoyed an official honeymoon -- Aldean has taken Kerr, a former American Idol contestant, on his Burn It Down tour so they can travel the world together. According to People, they just got back from Europe.

"I feel like our life is a honeymoon," Aldean explained, adding however that things would be different in an ideal scenario. "Take me to the beach and hang out for the month and I'm good."

Aldean proposed to Kerr, 27, at the San Diego Zoo in September 2014, which was six months after confirming they were dating and two years after he was caught cheating with her on Ussery.

Aldean was photographed kissing Kerr in a West Hollywood bar back in September 2012. Although both individuals expressed regret and embarrassment at the time, Aldean filed for divorce from Ussery seven months later in April 2013 after 12 years of marriage.

Once news of Aldean and Kerr's romantic relationship circulated in March of last year, the country star was heavily criticized for his actions.

"So sick of people judging me and @brittanylkerr over things they know nothing about. I have made mistakes but I am a better person because of it, and wouldn't change a thing," Aldean tweeted at the time. "I'm happier than I have ever been, so thank u to all the people who support us. We are happy and life goes on. It's time to move on people."

Kerr is a former NBA cheerleader for the Charlotte Bobcats who appeared as a contestant on Idol's eleventh season but didn't make it into the semifinals. The edition aired in early 2012.
