Alfonso Ribeiro said he definitely didn't think he had Dancing with the Stars' nineteenth-season competition in the bag although many viewers felt that way since the season began.

"I was kind of in shock!" Ribeiro told Us Weekly after he was crowned champion with partner Witney Carson.

"I almost fell to my knees right there because it was so amazing. And what a happy moment. We so did not expect that. I said to Witney right before, 'Be prepared to hear [Mark Ballas] and [Sadie Robertson].'"

Ribeiro gushed how it was "absolutely amazing" to win and he'll be placing his mirror-ball trophy "right in the living room. I've got a spot for it. It'll be displayed front and center!"

Ribeiro defeated Ballas and Robertson as well as Janel Parrish and her pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy, who finished in third.

However, the actor and former The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star insisted he has "no idea" what gave him an edge over his competitors.

"But we stayed our course the entire time. We said, 'Let's get out there, do the best we can that week, and not worry about what's coming next and what happened before.' And that just kept us in the moment... We were in it, and it was a great experience," Ribeiro explained to the magazine.

"I was so lucky to have Witney. I waited 10 years [to do this], but if I had done it before this season, I wouldn't have had her, so it was the right time and it worked out perfectly."

Ribeiro and Carson had earned three perfect scores for their routines over the course of Monday and Tuesday night's finals.

As for what's next for Ribeiro, he's got the Dancing with the Stars tour coming up later this year.

"We'll see where this takes me! I'm excited that it'll take me out on the road to cities all across America. It'll be fun to hang out with all the dancers," the actor told Us, adding that he's planning a vacation with his pregnant wife Angela Unkrich.

"We're going to Hawaii! We're going to lay on the beach. It's our next babymoon. We went to Hawaii last time for a babymoon and we loved it."

Ribeiro and Unkrich already have a son together, Alfonso Jr., and Ribeiro also has a daughter Sienna from his first marriage.
