'The Amazing Race 4' finale scores highest ratings since premiere

Chip and Reichen's victory in the exciting finale of "The Amazing Race 4" gave the show its highest numbers across-the-board since its May 29 premiere on the CBS Television Network.

The finale of "The Amazing Race 4" (6.1/11, 9.58 million viewers) was first from 8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) in viewers, households (tie, NBC) and adults 25-54 (4.3/13) and second in adults 18-49 (3.6/12), according to preliminary affiliate based National Nielsen ratings for Thursday, August 21. The final numbers, available later this afternoon, will change slightly as the broadcast ran over by four minutes.
