North Carolina residents are pleased to hear that one of their own has reached the Miss America pageant without controversy. Last year, North Carolina became known as the state with two contestants after a legal dispute over the Miss North Carolina crown. Aiken proves to be a much more worthy Tarheel to grace the stage. His album is scheduled for an October release, and he has recently established the Bubel-Aiken foundation to work on behalf of people with disabilities.
