NBC has announced that “Dog Eat Dog” returned to the NBC schedule on Tuesday evening with strong slot-winning results and a solid increase in 18-49 rating with each successive half-hour through the 8-10PM. ET block.

According to updated in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research, Tuesday's 8-9 p.m. ET telecast of “Dog Eat Dog (3.3 rating, 11 share among adults 18-49, 8.1 million viewers overall) and a special 9-10 p.m. second episode (3.9/11 in 18-49, 8.8 million viewers overall) led those hours among adults 18-49 and 25-54, men 18-49 and 25-54 and overall total viewers. Compared with NBC’s Tuesday 8-10 p.m. averages for June 2002, last night’s “Dog Eat Dog” block was up by 20 percent (with a 3.6 rating vs. a 3.0).

“Dog’s” 18-49 rating climbed impressively with each successive half-hour from 8-10 p.m., from a 3.1 to a 3.6 to a 3.8 to a 4.0.

Combined with the regular 10 p.m. ET telecast of “Dateline NBC," "Dog" allowed NBC to sweep all six of last night’s prime-time half-hours among adults 18-49 and overall total viewers. The evening was NBC’s top-rated Tuesday among 18-49 viewers in seven weeks.
