The Associated Press reports that "American Idol" winner Ruben Studdard and runner-up Clay Aiken took the "Today" show by storm on Monday morning, wowing a crowd of screaming fans who braved a downpour for a glimpse of their favorites. "It's like a monsoon. Poor Clay is worried about his hair," the always perky Katie Couric joked as she tousled Aiken's slightly less spikier than usual 'do.

According to Ruben, instant stardom has meant "going from place to place and not getting enough sleep. But it's all good. ... I'm having a great time." Studdard also mentioned that he hopes to sing "Love, Love, Love," a song by his own idol, Donny Hathaway, on his upcoming album. As to his friendly rivalry with Aiken, Studdard said that although the "Idol" competition is over, "It's going to be the same thing -- only with record sales." Someone better break that news to Ruben that if that's true, then Ruben might come up short this time around, since according to Amazon.com, Clay's CD has continued to rank #1 in CD sales for over a week now, while Ruben's CD has dropped all the way to #4 from it's previous high of #2.
