The CW has announced open casting call dates and locations for America's Next Top Model's fourteenth cycle.
Similar to its first 12 installments, Top Model's fourteenth edition will have a minimum height requirement of 5'7" tall.
The reality series' thirteenth cycle -- which premieres September 9 -- features a cast of aspiring models who are 5'7" or under.
In addition to the height requirement, those interested in applying for Top Model's fourteenth season must be ages 18 to 27 of "diverse backgrounds, shapes and sizes." Additional information is available via The CW's website.
The CW and Top Model creator Tyra Banks are presumably hoping upcoming auditions run smoother than those held in March, where pandemonium erupted outside Manhattan's Park Central New York Hotel during a thirteenth-season casting call.
After a car began smoking in the street near the crowd of waiting auditioners that were tightly packed onto the sidewalk, hundreds of people began stampeding from the scene, according to eyewitnesses, after false rumors that the vehicle contained a bomb began circulating through the crowd.
Two people were sent to the hospital while four other declined treatment for injuries. In addition, two other women and a man were arrested for disorderly conduct.
Police shut down the audition following the melee, and later blamed Top Model's producers for the incident, saying they had not properly notified the authorities of the size of the crowd they were expecting for the auditions.
Dates and location for Top Model's upcoming casting tour are:

The CW has rescheduled the New York America's Next Top Model casting call that was shut down after a nearby car breakdown resulted in a wild scene in which hundreds of wannabe models stampeded through the streets of Manhattan after false rumors that the smoking vehicle was actually a bomb spread through the crowd.
The network has announced that the casting call has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 11. Registration for the casting call will begin at 7AM ET at an as-yet-undisclosed location that will be posted on The CW's website later this week.
Similar to the new rules Top Model adopted beginning with its next casting call in Dallas, TX, anyone attending the rescheduled New York casting call will have adhere to a new set of guidelines that were developed in response to the Manhattan casting call incident.
Two people were sent to the hospital while four other declined treatment for injuries. In addition, three people -- two women and a man -- were arrested for disorderly conduct by police, who shut down the casting call.
For the April 11 auditions, auditioners will only be allowed to begin lining up at the the site at 6AM. Instead of remaining in line all day until their audition turn arrives, the casting call organizers will hand out color-coded wristbands and encourage the auditioners to leave the casting call site, with the color of the wristband they receive indicating the specific time that they should return for their audition opportunity.
In addition, only women will be allowed to stand in line and any under-18 auditioners will be allowed only one guardian to stand with them. Anyone standing in line will also only be allowed to carry one bag that "can fit comfortably on your lap inside the venue," according to the network.
The unusually large crowd that came with the first New York City auditions are believed to be have been due to America's Next Top Model's thirteenth season audition requirement, which in a complete turnaround of the casting requirements of its first 12 seasons, is requiring all contestants to be 5'7" or under.
The reason for the previous 5'7" minimum height requirement was to match "industry standards," according to The CW.
"There have been top supermodels in the past that weren't as tall as the industry demands, like fashion icon Kate Moss," Top Model host Tyra Banks had said in the season's original casting announcement. "So we are changing up Top Model for Cycle 13 and making it a year for the shorter model!"

After 12 seasons, Tyra Banks has decided to break the mold when it comes to casting for America's Next Top Model. Or at least shorten it.
The CW has announced open casting calls for Top Model's thirteenth cycle, and -- in a complete turnaround from the casting requirements of its first 12 seasons-- the reality series is requiring contestants be 5'7" or under.
The reason for the previous 5'7" minimum height requirement was to match "industry standards," according to The CW.
"There have been top supermodels in the past that weren't as tall as the industry demands, like fashion icon Kate Moss," said Banks. "So we are changing up Top Model for cycle 13 and making it a year for the shorter model!"
In addition to the height requirement, those interested in applying for Top Model's thirteenth season must be ages 18 to 27 of "diverse backgrounds, shapes and sizes." Additional information is available via The CW's website.

NBC has announced open casting calls for The Biggest Loser's eighth season, however the contestants who end up competing on the season may apparently find themselves working with unfamiliar trainers.
In addition to announcing the 14-city casting tour, NBC also revealed it is looking for "certified trainers with strong personalities who have a solid track record of taking the weight off of overweight clients."
NBC is casting new trainers "to keep creative options open for the new season," according to the network's casting tour press release.
When contacted for clarification by Reality TV World, the show's NBC spokesperson was unable to confirm whether current The Biggest Loser trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels will be part of the show's eighth season and declined to comment beyond the release.
Harper and Michaels served as The Biggest Loser's trainers for the show's first two seasons before Kim Lyons replaced Michaels prior to the show's third season. All three served as trainers for The Biggest Loser's Fall 2007 fourth season, however Lyons did not return for last winter's fifth season.
Harper and Michaels then subsequently served as trainers for both last fall's The Biggest Loser: Families edition and this winter's The Biggest Loser: Couples edition.
Both individuals and teams of two who are interested in competing in the reality weight-loss series are encouraged to attend one of the upcoming auditions. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and legal residents of the United States.
NBC announced that it had renewed The Biggest Loser for two more editions that will air during the 2009-2010 television season last month.
The Biggest Loser eighth-season casting call dates and locations are as follows. All auditions will be held from 10AM to 5PM.
