"Not only is Dennis an exceptionally talented comedian, he's quick on his feet and has a great way of bringing out the comedic elements in this hilarious new game show," said Craig Plestis, NBC's executive vice president of alternative programming.

Amne$ia, which is scheduled to debut on NBC later this season, will ask contestants questions that come from their own life, forcing them to recall memories from their past that might have been forgotten long ago.

Miller can currently be heard five days a week on his nationally syndicated radio talk show The Dennis Miller Show.  Miller is also a five-time Emmy Award-winning comedian for his talk show Dennis Miller Live, which aired on HBO from 1994 to 2002, and was also a regular on Saturday Night Live in the late 1980s and briefly served as a color commentator for ABC's coverage of Monday Night Football.

"I wasn't looking to host another game show but when they brought me... uh... uh...uh... what's the name of the show again? Oh yeah, Amne$ia," said Miller, always the comedian.  "I got excited because I immediately realized it's a comedy first that just happens to be wrapped in a game show package and that allows me to be who I am."

Burnett created Amne$ia with Roy Bank, and both will serve as executive producers for the game show along with Adam Cohen, Cara Tapper and Jonathan Vernetti.
