The Bachelorette bachelor, who is one of Becca Kufrin's suitors on The Bachelorette's currently-airing fourteenth season, was convicted on May 21 of indecent assault and battery, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Suffolk County District Attorney's office said in a statement that Lincoln's conviction stemmed from a May 30, 2016 incident in which he groped and assaulted an adult female on a harbor cruise ship in Boston, MA.

Lincoln -- a 26-year-old account sales executive from Nigeria who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA and previously lived in Boston -- was sentenced to one year in prison, however the term has been suspended for a two-year probationary period.

"The judge ordered him to stay away from the victim and attend three Alcoholics Anonymous meetings per week during those two years," the Suffolk County D.A. office told The Reporter in a statement.

"If he complies with the judge's orders, he will not have to serve out his term, but if he fails to comply with those orders or re-offends, he could be ordered to serve out the year behind bars. By law, he is expected to register as a sex offender."

The Bachelorette has already aired three weeks of episodes. Season 14 began filming in March and premiered May 28 -- just one week after Lincoln was convicted.

Lincoln, known for his cute British accent, first introduced himself to Becca live TV during March's The Bachelor: After the Final Rose special that served as the conclusion of Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s season.

On the first group date of The Bachelorette edition, Lincoln was accused of cheating in the obstacle-course competition, which he ultimately won. Lincoln was also shown breaking down into tears following a heated argument with fellow suitor Connor Obrochta over a broken picture frame.

According to his ABC bio, Lincoln grew up in the UK and moved to Boston when he was a teenager. He later attended college in Kentucky.

ABC and Warner Bros. TV reportedly have yet to comment on the matter.
