Fox has announced Season 2 of The Four: Battle for Stardom will premiere Thursday, June 7 at 8PM ET/PT and continue to star music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs, music producer DJ Khaled, and Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Meghan Trainor as the panel of experts.

Fergie will also reprise her role as host, but Republic Records president Charlie Walk will not be returning.

Charlie had previously missed The Four's first-season finale after allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced.

The Four: Battle for Stardom is based on an overseas format that begins where many reality singing competitions end: with only four talented finalists in the competition vying for the show's title.

Last season, Evvie McKinney from Memphis, TN, was crowned champion and received the opportunity to have her career in the music industry guided by Diddy, DJ Khaled and Meghan.

Evvie is currently in the studio, recording her first single, under the guidance of the panel. Once the single is released, she will be featured as an iHeartRadio "On The Verge" artist.

Season 2 of The Four: Battle for Stardom will introduce an entirely new group of "vocal gladiators," according to Fox.

Once four talented competitors are chosen to sit on the stage based on an initial round of auditions, new singers will come on the show and perform for the panel of experts in the hope of being granted permission to challenge one of the four artists.

In each battle, the new singer challenges one of "The Four" individually. The new singer in each faceoff attempts to dethrone and replace his or her opponent, while the artists representing "The Four" try to defend their coveted spots on the stage.

Members of "The Four" will continue to change throughout the season as new challengers come and go. One person, however, could survive weeks of battles if he or she is talented enough.

In the finale of The Four: Battle for Stardom, the last four singers standing will face off against each other and perform until only one finalist remains and is declared the winner.

"This series is about pure competition, fighting for your survival. Do you want to win? Do you want to be great? We're giving fans a genuine look at what it takes to make it to the top and stay there -- surrounding these up-and-coming artists with the best, turning them into the next generation of stars," Diddy said before Season 1 premiered in January 2018.
