Dancing with the Stars eliminated Victoria Arlen and her professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy during Monday night's broadcast of the series' 25th season on ABC.

Victoria, an ESPN personality and former Paralympic swimmer, and Val became the ninth couple ousted from the competition based on the combination of Dancing with the Stars judges' scores they had received during last week's performance show and the home viewer votes that were cast immediately afterward.

Victoria immediately cried upon hearing the bad news, as she was eliminated right before the finals.

Host Tom Bergeron and Val both attempted to comfort and console Victoria, with her partner noting, "I want to say thank you so much to Victoria, and thank you so much to the show for trusting me with such an amazing young woman. The future is bright for you. You are an amazing young woman."

Last week, Victoria and Val had landed towards the bottom of the judges' leaderboard in fifth place out of the six competing couples at the time.

Actor and race car driver Frankie Muniz and partner Witney Carson were the other couple in jeopardy of elimination prior to Victoria and Val's exit last night; however, they were not necessarily one of the bottom-two couples this week based on the judges' scores and America's votes.

Monday night's broadcast featured the five semifinalist couples each performing a dance to a song selected by the pro partners as well as a recreation of an "Iconic Dance" from a previous Dancing with the Stars season.

For the "Iconic Dance," the songs and dance styles had to be the same as the chosen memorable routines, but the Season 25 couples could change the choreography to best suit the celebrities' strengths and overall ability.

Singer and actor Jordan Fisher and partner Lindsay Arnold topped the leaderboard in first place after receiving 58 out of 60 total points from Dancing with the Stars judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.

Jordan and Lindsay first performed an Argentine tango to "Brother" by NeedtoBreathe featuring Gavin DeGraw.

The number was designed to honor Jordan as the great big brother he is to two younger siblings. They received 28 out of 30 points for their dance despite Lindsay having previously suffered a knee injury and Jordan scratching his cornea in rehearsal.

Jordan and Lindsay then followed that up with a perfect-scoring jive to "Proud Mary" by Tina Turner for their "Iconic Dance," reinventing Paige VanZant and pro Mark Ballas' routine from Season 22 of Dancing with the Stars.

Jordan and Lindsay received 30 out of 30 points for the jive and were told they had actually topped the original. The judges agreed Jordan performed like a mix of pros Mark and Derek Hough, and Len said it was the best jive he's probably ever seen on the show.

Internationally-recognized violinist Lindsey Stirling and Mark finished in second place on the judges' leaderboard with 57 total points.

Lindsey and Mark first took the stage with a 29-point worthy contemporary routine to "Head High" by Alexander Jean, which is the duo Mark is in with his wife BC Jean. Mark wanted to celebrate Lindsey's resilience and perseverance to move forward during tough times.

The pair later recreated Meryl Davis and pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy's tango to "Feel So Close" by Calvin Harris from Season 18, and Lindsey and Mark earned an additional 28 points for it.

Third place went to Victoria and Val with 56 total points on the judges leaderboard.

Victoria and Val initially performed a contemporary routine to "To Build a Home" by Cinematic Orchestra featuring Patrick Watson.

The dance, which received 27 points from the judges, featured DWTS Troupe member Jenna Johnson and told the story of Victoria emerging out of her health crisis from her loving parents' perspective.

For Round 2, Victoria and Val earned 29 points for their "Iconic Dance." The couple took the stage with a Charleston routine to "Bang Bang" by will.i.am originally performed by Amber Riley and Derek Hough on Season 17.

Frankie and Witney landed in fourth place on the judges' leaderboard with a total of 51 points.

Frankie and Witney initially danced a salsa to "Shake" by Yin Yang Twins & Pitbull to represent how Frankie comes across nervous on the outside but all he wants to do is shake on the inside. The judges' weren't sure this was the best song choice for Frankie on Witney's part, but the pair still received 25 points.

Frankie and Witney later followed that up with a 26-point worthy paso doble to "Carnival De Paris" by Dario G that was originally danced by Apolo Anton Ohno and pro Julianne Hough on Season 4.

And finally, Property Brothers star Drew Scott and partner Emma Slater finished in fifth -- and last -- place on the judges' leaderboard with 48 total points.

For Round 1, Drew and Emma performed a tango to "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" by The Proclaimers in honor of Drew's Scottish heritage and his perseverance that received 24 points from the judges.

The couple later recreated a jazz routine that had been performed by Corbin Bleu and pro Karina Smirnoff on Season 17 for their "Iconic Dance." They danced to the song "Yeah!" by Usher featuring Lil Jon and Ludacris and earned an additional 24 points from the judges.
