Lifetime has announced it has ordered Married at First Sight: Jamie and Doug Plus One, a new reality show chronicling the couple as they prepare for their first child and become parents, which will premiere Tuesday, December 19 at 8PM ET/PT.

The series will kick off with a two-and-a-half hour special on December 19, and then two back-to-back episodes will air on subsequent Tuesday nights beginning December 26 at 10PM ET/PT on Lifetime.

Married at First Sight: Jamie and Doug Plus One will document the emotional moments for Jamie and Doug leading up to and capturing the birth of daughter Henley Grace, who has the distinction of being the first-ever Married at First Sight baby.

After the baby's arrival, the new series will follow the lovebirds as they navigate their "new normal," experiencing all the ups and downs of parenthood, and falling in love with their baby girl -- at first sight," according to the network.

Three years ago, Jamie and Doug met for the very first time at the altar when they exchanged vows on Season 1 of Married at First Sight. Jamie got married two years after competing for Ben Flajnik's heart on The Bachelor's sixteenth season in 2012.

After a tumultuous six-week experiment -- in which Jamie didn't find herself physically attracted to her new husband -- Jamie and Doug decided to stay married at the end of the season, and they proceeded to co-star on an earlier Married at First Sight spinoff, Married at First Sight: The First Year in 2016.

The reality TV stars later welcomed Henley Grace in late August 2017.

Jamie revealed she was pregnant with a "rainbow baby" back in January, which was six months after she and Doug lost a baby, whom they named Johnathan, while she was four months pregnant.

Jamie actually discovered she was expecting again on December 20, 2016, which ironically was Johnathan's due date.

Married at First Sight: Jamie and Doug Plus One is being produced for Lifetime by Kinetic Content and executive produced by Chris Coelen, Eric Detwiler, Sam Dean, Lyndee Brown, and Gena McCarthy.
