ABC has announced Carter, a Backstreet Boys member who competed on Dancing with the Stars' 21st season, and Bunton, the Spice Girls member known as "Baby Spice," will serve as the show's architects.

An "architect" is Boy Band's term for a mentor or coach. Carter and Bunton are music-industry experts who will guide contestants throughout their journey on the show and attempt to put together the world's next famous boy band.

The network also revealed Ora, who hosted the most recent season of America's Next Top Model, will serve as host of the new series, which is set to premiere Thursday, June 22 from 8-10PM ET/PT. (Beginning on June 29, the show will air one-hour broadcasts each week at 8PM ET/PT).

As previously announced, Boy Band will feature undiscovered male singers from around the country battling it out to become a member of the "next great music sensation," according to ABC. Home viewers will be able to vote live for their favorite band members during each broadcast, creating a group of their very own.

The 10-episode series will document the audition process and behind-the-scenes footage of young vocal talents trying to make the band. Boy Band's final and official group will win a recording contract with Hollywood Records.

At the start of the season, thousands of singers will audition for one of 18 spots in three bands. The hopefuls will have to impress the architects in order to avoid elimination.

Each episode will feature a different theme, and the architects will shuffle contestants to find the best combination of voices to perform, live, for America. Architects will also critique each band's performance and collectively determine two contestants who are up for elimination.

After performing solo "survival" songs, viewers at home will be able to vote for their favorite guy to remain in the competition. And in the finale, America's favorite five band members will be announced, and they will debut and perform a brand new single together for the first time.

ABC announced it had picked up the reality competition series in late March.

One Direction, a boy band that was formed during a season of the U.K. edition of The X Factor, prove there is definitely a market for all-male groups, as the boys catapulted to success following their reality TV stint. The Backstreet Boys are also still performing together, as they recently released a song with Florida Georgia Line.

Boy Band is being produced by Matador Content with Todd Lubin, Jay Peterson, Jane Mun, and Joel Relampagos serving as executive producers.
