Nick Viall didn't have the best showing on Dancing with the Stars' Season 24 premiere, but it was apparently good enough to make his The Bachelor fiancee, Vanessa Grimaldi, proud.

After the show, Nick told Us Weekly that Vanessa "just said, 'Good job.' I haven't really gotten a chance to talk to her, but she's going to be very supportive."
In fact, The Bachelor star insisted he "definitely feels more comfortable" knowing Vanessa, a 29-year-old special education teacher from Montreal, Canada, is by his side every step of the way, sitting in the front row of the studio audience, and cheering him on no matter what.
Nick and Vanessa went public with their romance and engagement just last week after the Season 21 finale of The Bachelor aired on ABC. Vanessa told the press at the time she was very happy Nick accepted his Dancing with the Stars offer because she felt they could enjoy this new journey together.
Nick proved on Dancing with the Stars that he definitely has rhythm, but Julianne said his feet looked like pancakes, and Len admitted his moves appeared "disjointed."
"I'm sure I made mistakes, and I'm sure I'll go back and look, and I'm sure the judges had some good feedback, but I was very happy with the score, and I was thrilled with all sixes," Nick told Us of his first performance in the ballroom. "I don't know if that's good, but I was thrilled. I was totally fine with it."
Nick also said he appreciates the judges' "critical feedback" and intends to "make some improvements" with Peta's help.
"I was just trying to have fun, and it was very surreal. I kind of feel like I blacked out, maybe, I don't know," Nick confessed.
On Tuesday, Nick posted a photo on Instagram of Vanessa and himself smiling, laughing and holding hands.
"What an amazing experience last night!! Thank you so much for anyone that voted for @petamurgatroyd and Me. Lucky to have @vanessagrimaldi30 by my side!! #teambabygotbach #dwts," Nick captioned the photo.
And this past weekend, the cute couple actually enjoyed a casual double date with Peta and her fiance -- and fellow Dancing with the Stars pro -- Maksim Chmerkovskiy at The Church Key restaurant in West Hollywood.
Vanessa also showed support for her man when dropping in on his dance rehearsals last week. While visiting her groom-to-be, Vanessa posed for photos with Nick, Peta and the Australian pro dancer's adorable two-month-old son Shai Aleksander.
