The Bachelor star Nick Viall will introduce both Vanessa Grimaldi and Raven Gates to his family on the upcoming finale, and based on a preview clip released by ABC, Vanessa's visit is going to be a very emotional one.

In the preview clip for The Bachelor's Monday, March 13 episode, Vanessa sits down with Nick's father and the pair engage in meaningful conversation.

"I have never been proposed to, I've never been engaged, so I take this very seriously," Vanessa tells him. "And as much as I love your son, there's a lot of things that I want to talk about with Nick before the actual proposal date. I am now in the position that Nick was in twice. And it's scary."

"I'm sure it is," Nick's father says.

"Now, do you think the fact that -- well, I at least, love him -- and I feel he is at that point, or almost at that point, I'm not sure, I'm assuming. Do you think that love is enough to make a relationship last?" Vanessa asks.

Vanessa may be referring to the "heavy conversations" she had with Nick in last week's episode about where the pair would live if they get engaged at the end of The Bachelor season.

Vanessa, who loves her job as a special education teacher and adores her close-knit Italian family, has a fulfilling life in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and would love for Nick to move there.

However, Wisconsin-born Nick who lived in Chicago, IL, for a while and currently resides in Los Angeles, CA, cannot see himself ever leaving America.

Although Nick has said he'd do anything for love, he seemingly is against relocating to a different country.

"You have to not just love the person, but you have to be willing to give up. You have to sacrifice," Nick's dad tells Vanessa. "So, no, love is not enough. It's commitment. It's selflessness."

Nick's dad then breaks down crying, prompting Vanessa to do the same.

"I just never thought I was going to meet someone like your son," Vanessa says in tears.

"I could really fear her emotion," Nick's father tells the camera in a confessional, "but there was a little bit of fear that she would hurt Nick. My only concern is that he could get rejected again."

Nick was dumped by both Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe on their respective seasons of The Bachelorette a couple of years ago. Nick had trouble moving on from the heartbreak and seemed to put up walls as a defense mechanism.
