Kris Jenner could barely hold back her tears when discussing daughter Kim Kardashian's October 2016 Paris robbery during a Monday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Jenner, 61, stopped by Ellen DeGeneres' talk show to tease the upcoming thirteenth season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, but in doing so, the Kardashian family matriarch had to touch upon the traumatizing incident Kardashian, 36, just recently recovered from.

When DeGeneres asked Jenner if Kanye West will have a larger role on Keeping Up with the Kardashians next season, Jenner explained, "He's definitely a big part of the Paris episode that we have, which I think is the second episode of Season 13. It is in chronological order, so the first episode you're going to see is when the girls were in Miami doing something with the DASH stores, and then the Paris incident happened where Kim -- it was, you know, devastating!"

Kardashian was tied up in her Paris hotel room, gagged and robbed of about $10 million in jewelry, including her $4 million engagement ring from West, on October 3 when she was visiting France for Paris Fashion Week with her sisters and friends. Production on KUWTK was briefly put on hold afterward, and Kardashian also hid from the public and disappeared from social media.

"So when we started filming again and started getting up and running, obviously Kim was around because we all practically live together on the same street, and we started filming, and what was coming out of that was very therapeutic for her, I think, to just explain to us [what happened] and walk us through," Jenner said.

"And now, we are just starting to see some of the stuff that came out of those days, and it's -- nobody can even get through the first five minutes without being hysterical, like I get choked up just thinking about it and talking about it. But it's quite remarkable to listen to her tell the story."

Jenner noted that Kardashian chose to open up to cameras about the scare in order to "bring some awareness" to others.

"It's changed the way we live our lives -- just the way we take care of our kids and my grandchildren," Jenner told DeGeneres. "So, it's been a process."

Kardashian will apparently share her story "moment by moment," and Jenner called the show footage "riveting."

"I mean, I was watching it and I was bawling -- bawling when I saw some of it, and I couldn't even watch the whole thing because it was so upsetting. It was such an upsetting time when something awful happens to somebody that you love so much, and it's just like ugh! It chokes me up every time I think about it," Jenner confessed.

French network TFI released what it claimed to be crime-scene photos taken from the No Address Hotel in Paris, where Kardashian had been robbed by a group of men, according to People. Shots include duct tape and plastic ties that were reportedly used to restrain her.

In January, French authorities charged 10 people in connection with Kardashian's robbery, and the reality TV star just recently traveled to New York to meet with a judge and testify against her alleged robbers.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians' next season is set to premiere Sunday, March 5 on E!.
