CBS has announced the eighth season of Undercover Boss will premiere Wednesday, December 21 at 8PM ET/PT with a special two-hour episode.

Undercover Boss follows high-level executives as they slip anonymously into the rank-and-file of their own organizations.

Each week, a different leader or boss sacrifices the comfort of his or her corner office for an undercover mission to examine the inner workings of the operation he or she runs.

Following its debut, Undercover Boss will move to Wednesday nights at 8PM ET/PT for one-hour episodes beginning December 28. The show will continue in this timeslot until the time-period premiere of the network's new reality series Hunted on January 25, 2017.

Hunted will challenge ordinary people to run as fugitives in attempt to evade capture by an elite team of investigators pursuing them. The show is based off the UK reality series with the same name.

The January 25 episode of Hunted will be two hours, while subsequent broadcasts will only be one-hour long.

In addition to Undercover Boss' premiere date, CBS also revealed the return of The Amazing Race as well as  Survivor's 34th season premiere as part of unveiling its Winter 2016-Spring 2017 schedule.

Undercover Boss is produced by Studio Lambert/All3Media America and executive produced by Stephen Lambert, Chris Carlson and Greg Lipstone.
