Married at First Sight couple Derek Schwartz and Heather Seidel, who were complete strangers matched to wed by a panel of experts, divorced only two weeks into the six-week experiment over the groom's alleged marijuana habit.

As shown on Tuesday night's FYI episode, Heather asked for the divorce because of Derek's "smoking" habit. The bride reportedly told show experts she could handle an "occasional smoker," but Heather told the cameras she was "so turned off" and grew "really concerned" when Derek allegedly smoked daily on their honeymoon.
While Married at First Sight suggested the "smoking" references were with regard to cigarettes, according to an In Touch Weekly report published last month, Derek was actually constantly smoking weed.
The relationship "went downhill" after the honeymoon, according to an In Touch source, because Heather feared Derek's lifestyle would negatively influence her own behavior -- which includes a prior arrest for DUI back in 2011.
"Derek asked her for permission to smoke and she said it was fine, but then she freaked out because she thought he did it too often during their honeymoon," the source explained to the magazine.
"Heather refused to put up with his smoking. Heather and Derek's relationship was very short-lived."
On Tuesday night's episode of Married at First Sight, Derek reasoned with Heather in front of Pastor Calvin Roberson to work things out and at least wait until the six-week mark to make their final divorce decision.
However, Heather replied, "I'm really sorry about how things have gone. I don't think you're a bad person at all, and I'm sorry that I can't move forward with you. I cannot be married to you, and I hope that you understand that."
The pair only exchanged a few words after that final meeting, saying "good luck" and "goodbye" to one another.
