Fifth Harmony won big at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night.

During the 33rd installment of the VMA's on MTV at 9PM ET/PT, Fifth Harmony, who formed as a group and found fame on The X Factor's second season in July 2012, walked away with two awards.

Fifth Harmony won both categories for which they had been nominated -- Best Collaboration for their video "Work From Home" featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Song of the Summer for "All In My Head (Flex)" featuring Fetty Wap.

For Best Collaboration, Fifth Harmony beat out the following nominees: Beyonce ft. Kendrick Lamar in "Freedom," Ariana Grande ft. Lil Wayne in "Let Me Love You," Calvin Harris ft. Rihanna in "This Is What You Came For" and Rihanna ft. Drake in "Work."

For Song of the Summer, Fifth Harmony defeated Calvin Harris featuring Rihanna in "This Is What You Came For," The Chainsmokers featuring Halsey in "Closer," Drake featuring Kyla & Wizkid in "One Dance," Justin Timberlake in "Can't Stop The Feeling," Kent Jones in "Don't Mind," Major Lazer featuring Justin Bieber MØ in "Cold Water," Nick Jonas featuring Ty Dolla $ign in "Bacon," Selena Gomez in "Kill 'Em With Kindness," and Sia in "Cheap Thrills."

Kanye West, the husband of Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kim Kardashian, was nominated for two awards but walked away empty-handed. West was up for Video of the Year with "Famous" and Best Male Video with "Famous."

Zayn Malik, a former member of the band One Direction -- which formed on The X Factor UK in Season 7 -- was up for the Best Visual Effects award but lost to Coldplay for their "Up&Up" video.
