Bachelor in Paradise featured drama between Ashley Iaconetti, Jared Haibon and his love interest Caila Quinn, as well as the arrival of Jennifer Saviano during Tuesday night's broadcast on ABC.

The third-season Bachelor in Paradise broadcast picked up right where Monday night's episode had left off, with Ashley I. arriving in Paradise and telling host Chris Harrison that she and Jared had a similar relationship over the last year as they did in Season 2 of BiP, meaning on and off kissing and him being hot and cold in a romantic sense.

Despite claiming they're just best friends, Ashley revealed Jared had gone to "second base" with her, sent her roses and more, which gave her a glimmer of hope he might one day realize they're meant for each other.

When Ashley joined the cast, she immediately asked to speak with Jared about the happenings on the island. Jared explained he had given Emily Ferguson a rose but then was asked out on a date by Caila. Jared said ever since then, he's been "hanging out" with Caila.

Ashley then pulled Caila aside for a chat and made it known she was very unhappy with her friend for making a move on Jared. Caila had apparently promised Ashley before the show she wouldn't go after Jared, nor did she even find him attractive.

Ashley asked Caila what happened to "he's not my type," and Caila replied that she actually had a chance to talk to and get to know the guy. Caila clearly thought Jared was a kind, sweet man, which is what she's looking for in a partner.

Caila apologized to Ashley repeatedly, insisting it was never her intention to hurt Ashley or upset her. Ashley didn't seem to want to hear it, waving Caila's apology off as if it meant nothing.

Ashley was also upset Caila never even told her that she'd be appearing on Paradise, but Caila said she made the decision to join the show "like to days" before coming.

Ashley thought Caila was a backstabbing lying and a "whore" of a friend. Their friendship was clearly over at this point in Paradise, and Ashley ran off crying, saying she should just go home.

Jared tried to comfort Ashley, but he was more worried about how her emotional outbursts might affect his relationship with Caila, a girl he could see himself falling in love with and potentially building a future with.

Ashley bawled to Jared, saying she didn't want another guy in Paradise and it would just be too difficult to sit around and watch him fall in love with another woman. However, Jared convinced Ashley to stay and ask Daniel Maguire out since she arrived on the island with a Date Card.

On her date with Daniel, Ashley couldn't help but talk about Jared. Daniel had a way of getting her mind off the obsession and they joked about her virginity. Ashley explained that the only way she could get over Jared would be by meeting another guy just like him or better.

Ashley briefly thought Daniel could be her "replacement" guy since he was sweet, good looking and easy to talk to. Daniel told Ashley that she's a beautiful girl and the only reason people make fun of her for crying so much is because they are jealous of her.

While Daniel came across great on the date, he joked to the cameras on the sidelines about how he'd like to "get frisky" with Ashley and offer her some "Canadian bacon" -- or sausage with "maple syrup drizzled on it." Yikes.

Before their date ended, Ashley was whisked away by a group of men in costume to be "sacrificed" in a ceremony since she's the only virgin available.

Meanwhile, Jared was worried about Caila holding back in their relationship out of fear she may be offending or hurting Ashley. Jared therefore hoped Ashley found a connection with Daniel on her date.

But the next morning, Ashley cried in bed for what seemed like hours. She didn't want people to think her tears were a sign of weakness, because in reality, she was just deeply in love and had a very special relationship with Jared that was hard to navigate.

Another lonely cast member happened to be Nick Viall, who was still waiting for a girl to enter Paradise whom he could connect with. Nick wanted to meet someone "fun and super hot," and that's when Jen arrived. Nick thought she was "stunning" and it was the most excited he's been since stepping foot in Paradise.

Jen, although reserved on Ben Higgins' season of The Bachelor, planned to be aggressive with her Date Card no matter the consequences. Daniel admitted he'd pay Jen for her to ask him out, and Jen found him "interesting" -- although she noted his dry, sarcastic sense of humor isn't for everyone.

Jen then spoke to Emily and Haley Ferguson about which guys were available, and after talking with Nick -- who confessed he'd love to go out with her -- she asked Nick on a date.

As for the sage of Carly Waddell and Evan Bass, she thought it was possible he had "faked an illness" just to get a kiss from her. Carly viewed such an idea as "crazy but flattering" at the same time, and she was still torn about whether she truly had feelings for him or not.

However, Evan definitely didn't "fake his death for a kiss," as Sarah Herron put it. A medic noticed that Evan's ankles were swollen, and a new medication he was on made him feel tired, light-headed and dizzy.

Evan just wanted to sleep the symptoms off, but the medic insisted he go to the hospital and get checked out there. Once Carly heard the matter was actually pretty serious, she volunteered to go with him, and he was absolutely thrilled.

Evan joked in a confessional he finally got a date with Carly. Once he was being treated, Carly noticed he was completely relaxed and talking like a normal person. She had been waiting to see this side of him, and she really liked it.

Carly viewed Evan as "one of the best people at heart" whom she's ever met. She therefore "reboarded the Evan train," gushing to the cameras about how she truly liked him.

Now back to the story of Nick and Jen. The couple enjoyed a day on a yacht, and Jen thought Paradise would be an amazing place to fall in love. She admitted to Nick that she had always been "intrigued" by him and was also attracted to him.

Nick felt lucky about being on a date with "the hottest girl in Paradise."

Afterward, the couple made out on a private beach and really hit it off. However, they were interrupted by an infestation of crabs. While it didn't appear fun for them, the scene was truly hysterical for viewers.

As Ashley continued to cry at the home base, Caila talked about how she respected the girl for loving "without hesitation" and wearing her heart and emotions on her sleeve. However, Caila thought Ashley was like a storm that entered Paradise right as she was connecting with Jared.

Prior to the Rose Ceremony, Jared confessed to the cameras he was frustrated "external forces" were causing the girl he liked to keep her walls up. Caila told Jared she didn't want to end up being like Ashley in that she had feelings for a man that were one-sided.

Jared understood where Caila was coming from but asked her to open up to him more. Jared was doing everything possible to move his romance with Caila along.

Nick then spoke with Ashley about how she needed to get over her "obsession" with Jared because he was never going to date her and be her boyfriend. Ashley disagreed and cried, but Nick pointed out she wasn't "in love" with Jared -- that she was simply "infatuated" with him.

Ashley was absolutely convinced she could end up with Jared one day once he realized his best friend was the girl for him. Jared, however, was just infuriated that Ashley was causing so much drama. He thought they had agreed before Paradise to date other people and pursue real relationships.

Ashley said although that was the case, her feelings for him would "never disappear." Ashley feared she might never feel for another man like she feels for Jared. In her eyes, Jared was the perfect guy. She clearly had hope that she shouldn't have had.

Ashley wondered why Jared wanted someone else when they were so compatible and such great friends. She told Jared that his actions before Paradise gave her that "glimmer of hope" they could one day be together.

Jared just appeared frustrated as Ashley's heart exploded in this conversation. She said she went to Paradise to be with him or get closure and move on from him. At this point, Jared was just fed up and threatened to leave and go home. He said he didn't want to be on the show anymore.
