The network has announced Survivor: Millennials vs Gen X will debut on Wednesday, September 21 with a special 90-minute episode at 8PM ET/PT.

The premiere of Survivor's 33rd edition will precede Big Brother's Season 18 finale, which will air from 9:30-11PM ET/PT that night.

Survivor will then resume airing in its usual timeslot of 8-9PM ET/PT beginning on Wednesday, September 28. On that date, the Season 12 premiere of Criminal Minds will follow it at 9PM ET/PT.

Filmed in Fiji, Survivor: Millennials vs Gen X will feature two different generations battling it out for $1 million.

As shown in the promo video which aired during the live reunion show for Survivor: Kaoh Rong -- Brains vs Brawn vs Beauty, the Millennials appear to largely be 20-something's who are criticized for their perceived laziness and self-entitlement. However, they seem to pride themselves on being creative, social and free.

Meanwhile, Generation X -- which appears to cover people from the ages of 30 to 55 -- have the reputation of being battle-tested and hard working, but the experienced individuals are mocked by the younger generation for being uptight, condescending and regimented.

The Amazing Race has also been renewed by CBS, however, it isn't coming back until mid-season. The date of its Season 29 premiere therefore has yet to be announced.
