Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell have landed their own The Bachelor spinoff titled Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After.

Freeform -- which was formerly known as the ABC Family network until it rebranded earlier this year -- has ordered the new show for Higgins and Bushnell, who got engaged at the end of The Bachelor's twentieth season.

"Ben and Lauren are the biggest Bachelor couple of the last 10 years," Freeform executive Karey Burke said in a statement. "Their romance captured everyone's attention, and we are delighted to continue their story on Freeform."

Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After is scheduled to premiere in October 2016 and will feature the pair as they prepare to walk down the aisle while navigating the real world, coming off of the exotic dates and Fantasy Suites on The Bachelor.

Higgins, 28, will also be shown exploring a political run for the Colorado House of Representatives, as Bushnell, 26, attempts to "establish her identity" post-The Bachelor, according to the network.

Fan-favorites from The Bachelor franchise will also make appearances throughout the series and give Higgins and Bushnell some advice.

"After you walk away from The Bachelor, it's not like your life becomes private," Higgins told Us Weekly  about the decision to do the new show with his fiancee. "People still find out what you're doing, so it's not changing our life to be public."

"We're already used to sharing our lives with everyone else," Bushnell agreed, "so we thought, Why not? It's a fun way to share life after The Bachelor."

The couple have been living together in Higgins' Denver, CO, home since April, which was four months after the proposal filmed in Jamaica.

"Starting a life together is never going to be this super smooth transition," Higgins said. "It's going to have rocky edges at times, but I love coming home to her at the end of the day."

And Higgins and Bushnell apparently don't pretend to have a perfect relationship, as they owned up to the occasional bickering.

"He's like, 'Why do we need a new couch? We have a couch!' So that's been a point of contention," Bushnell admitted to Us, adding that she needs to set their wedding plans into motion. "Our life has been a whirlwind. That is really something we want to focus on over the next few months."

The series will be produced by Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television. Mike Fleiss, Martin Hilton and Jason Ehrlich will be serving as executive producers.
