Paxton Ingram, a 20-year-old from Miami, FL, and Shalyah Fearing, a 16-year-old from Hudson, FL, received the lowest number of home viewer votes cast following Monday night's Top 8 performance show, so they were automatically eliminated. Paxton was on Blake Shelton's team, while Shalyah represented coach Adam Levine.

Mary Sarah, a 20-year-old from Richmond, TX, and Bryan Bautista, a Brooklyn, NY, were sent home after singing for survival via the show's "Instant Save" format. Laith Al-Saadi, a 38-year-old from Ann Arbor, MI, was also in jeopardy with Mary and Bryan, however, America tweeted to keep him in the competition.

Mary was on Blake's team, Bryan was on Christina Aguilera's team and Laith continues to be a member of "Team Adam."

The Voice broadcast began with host Carson Daly gradually announcing the three artists who had received the highest number of votes Monday night and would therefore be automatically advancing to next week's finals.

Carson called out Alisan Porter, a 34-year-old from Los Angeles, CA; Adam Wakefield from Hanover, NH; and Hannah Huston, a 24-year-old from Grand Island, NE. Alisan is on Christina's team, Wakefield is on Blake's team, and Hannah is the only remaining member on Pharrell Williams' team.

Carson then revealed Paxton and Shalyah's elimination since they had earned the fewest votes out of the Top 8. Shalyah appeared especially devastated, crying in the arms of all the coaches who rushed to comfort the two singers.

That left Mary Sarah, Bryan and Laith to perform for the "Instant Save" and one final spot in The Voice's Season 10 finale.

Mary Sarah performed "Something In the Water" by Carrie Underwood. Pharrell said she was so focused and hit some long notes that really showed her desire to stay on the show. Blake admitted he's her biggest fan and it blew him away that she was even fighting in the bottom of the pack for a chance to stay in the competition.

Blake explained to Mary Sarah that The Voice is not a direct reflection of who is or is not a star along with who can make it in the music industry. He insisted she could make it big in country music like The Voice contestants before her and there is "a giant door open" for her in Nashville, TN.

Bryan sang "Adorn" by Miguel. Pharrell noted how Bryan is sure of his character and has such poise onstage. Pharrell insisted Bryan needs to be signed to a record deal right away, especially because of how well he represents the Latin community. Christina then gushed about how he showed something "new and different," saying he's a true artist and deserves to make it to the end on The Voice

Laith performed "All Along the Watchtower" by Bob Dylan for his survival song. Adam addressed the audience saying that while Laith is definitely not a pop star or pop singer, he is a "tremendous" vocalist -- as talented as anyone else on the show -- and represents something different that is great for the competition.

At the end of the final commercial break, Laith was leading in tweets 48% to Bryan's 30% and Mary Sarah's 22%. As a result, Laith advanced, sending Mary Sarah and Bryan home.
