The Amazing Race eliminated "Newlyweds" Zach King and Rachel King during Friday night's broadcast of the CBS reality competition's 28th season.

Zach and Rachel became the sixth team eliminated from the around-the-world competition after they arrived at the Race's ninth Pit Stop at a sailing boat called Phinisi in Bali, Indonesia, in last place.

"We ran hard and I couldn't have had a better race with my best friend," Zach said following his team's ouster.

The Amazing Race broadcast began with "Best Friends" Kurt Gibson and Brodie Smith leaving the eighth Pit Stop in first place at 12:28AM. "Dating Couple" Burnie Burns and Ashley Jenkins were right on their heels, leaving at 12:30AM.

"Best Friends" Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl departed the Pit Stop in third place at 1:18AM, and behind them were Zach and Rachel at 1:31AM, "Dating Couple" Dana Borriello and Matt Steffanina at 1:48AM, and finally "Mother and Son" Sheri LaBrant and Cole LaBrant at 4:11AM.

The teams' first set of clues instructed them to fly 4,600 miles to Bali, Indonesia and search for their next clue at Bali's most photographed temple, Tanah Lot.

The flight served as an equalizer because all the teams hopped on a direct flight that left at 8:50AM and would arrive at 10PM.

Brodie and Kurt were upset about losing their lead in this leg, especially because they had burned their Express Pass in the previous leg. No one knew Brodie and Kurt had used their Express Pass -- as this would've been the last leg in which they could use it -- except for Burnie and Ashley.

Once at the temple, the teams had to grab times to take off in 15-minute intervals the next morning.

Brodie and Kurt and Sheri and Cole started the next task at 6:15AM, Burnie and Ashley and Tyler and Korey got the 6:30AM timeslot, and then Zach and Rachel and Dana and Matt began at 6:45AM.

The teams learned they must deliver two types of traditional Balinese offerings: Two giant fruit baskets to the monks at the Pura Enjung Galuh Temple and then two large snakes, which they had to pick up at the "snake temple" called Tanah Lot.

Brodie and Kurt ran to the wrong temple first, but they still finished the errands in front of the pack, along with Tyler and Korey. In the back of the pack were Dana and Matt in fifth place and finally Zach and Rachel in last place.

The teams then had to search for their next clue about a half kilometer past the Bat Temple.

Brodie and Kurt arrived at the cluebox in first place. Burnie and Ashley got there next, and they were soon followed by Tyler and Korey, Zach and Rachel, Sheri and Cole -- who had to complete their Speed Bump task first as a consequence for finishing the prior non-elimination leg in last place -- and then Dana and Matt.

The Speed Bump required Sheri and Cole to wave down a man on wheels and then prepare and sell 10 breakfasts to locals. After eating a breakfast of their own, they were able to continue racing.

It then became time for one member from each team to complete a Roadblock task.

For the Roadblock, the participants were required to collect seawater and pour it onto beds of black-volcanic sand so the water could evaporate. After making their way over to coconut trees, the Racers had to scrape enough salt to fill up four bags.

Kurt opted to take on the Roadblock task as well as Tyler, Burnie, Rachel, Cole, and Matt.

Zach and Rachel quickly realized it was a mistake to have Rachel do the Roadblock task because it was extremely physically demanding and exhausting. Rachel admitted she wanted to cry at one point, as her back was burning in the sun and the weight of the water was brutal on her shoulders.

Burnie and Ashley completed the Roadblock in first place. They were then followed by Tyler and Korey, Brodie and Kurt, Sheri and Cole, Dana and Matt, and finally Zach and Rachel.

The teams' next set of instructions sent them to Pantai Mertasari, where they must search for their next clue.

Instead of a Detour, the teams soon discovered they had to complete another Roadblock task.

For this Roadblock, the participating Racers were required to build a kite and then successfully fly it.

The players who did not take on the salt task were forced to complete this one. Viewers also learned Kurt has done most of the Roadblock tasks for his team, so he is unable to do any going forward. Brodie confessed Kurt was the bigger competitor, so he was a little nervous about the burden.

Tyler and Korey finished the Roadblock in first place. They were then followed by Burnie and Ashley, Sheri and Cole, Dana and Matt, Brodie and Kurt, and finally Zach and Rachel.

The teams then had to paddle in outrigger canoes to a traditional Indonesian sailing boat called Phinisi, the leg's Pit Stop where The Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan was waiting for them.

Tyler and Korey made it to the Pit Stop in first place, winning $5,000 each. Burnie and Ashley got there in second place, followed by Sheri and Cole in third and then Dana and Matt in fourth place.

It came down to a boat race between Brodie and Kurt and Zach and Rachel for fifth place.

Brodie and Kurt paddled as hard as they could and met Phil in fifth. Zach and Rachel therefore finished the leg in last place and were eliminated. They were forced to "walk the plank" and hop off the boat into the water.
