Anna Duggar comes from a very strict religious background, which will play a big role in whether she chooses to file for divorce from her unfaithful husband Josh Duggar, according to a source close to her.

The source said Anna, 27, has seven siblings born to Christian parents Mike Keller and Suzette Keller, who are "even a little more extreme" than Josh's parents Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar, People reported.

"Anna and her siblings were always taught that if you follow these 10 steps or whatever, God would bless you."

When Anna first met Josh as a teenager at a Christian homeschooling convention back in 2006, she reportedly wasn't allowed to discuss her temptations or feelings with her brothers and sisters.

"That's not something that's shared amongst siblings," the source explained. "They always got 15-minute, one-on-one sessions with their mom every week. That was the time to share their feelings, but other than that they had to keep their feelings to themselves."

Anna was close to her youngest sister Susanna and apparently had a lot of energy and zest for life.

"[Anna]'s really fun. She was always the bossy sister, but in a fun way. If she and her siblings were playing a game, she would make sure they were doing it exactly by the rules. They always had a good time together," said the source.

But since dating Josh, Anna allegedly changed and has become a bit of a loner.

"Ever since she met [the Duggars] she has acted more like Michelle," an insider told People. "She talks like her, real soft. She, like, whispers."

After hackers released private information about millions of Ashley Madison subscribers last week, Josh confessed to having cheated on Anna and developing a secret pornography addiction. A porn star then came forward and revealed she had "terrifying" and "traumatic" sexual encounters with the former 19 Kids & Counting star.

To make matters worse, Josh had already owned up to the fact he had molested five young girls -- including his own sisters Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard -- when he was a teenager.

Anna's brother Daniel Keller has been very open about his contempt for Josh on social media. He's apparently doing his best to convince Anna to dump her cheating and lying husband.

"I don't think her parents ever thought they would ever come to a situation like this," the source close to Anna noted.

However, according to People, despite the family's conservative belief system, it wouldn't be unprecedented for Anna to decide she wants to leave Josh, as her own sister Rebecca is currently going through a divorce.

"They just don't know what to do," the source said of Anna's parents. "They always taught their kids that divorce was never an option. They never even thought about cheating. But that's not how life works."
