Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick's split appears amicable.

For the first time since their breakup earlier this month, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians stars both visited the Beverly Hills Hotel on Thursday, People reported.

"Kourtney and Scott acted cordial. They were mostly focused on the kids. Scott looked very happy to see the kids," a witness told People.

After meeting at the hotel, Kardashian, 36, reportedly brought daughter Penelope, 3, to Disick's home in Beverly Hills.

"Scott and Kourtney chatted and seemed okay," a source told the magazine. "Kourtney seems to be making an effort so Scott can spend a lot of time with the kids."

Disick, 32, can only spend time with his three children if there is a chaperone present, an insider explained. He just spent some quality time with Mason, 5, on Wednesday.

Disick has been in and out of rehab facilities over the last year for substance abuse issues. He has a history of failing to complete such treatment stints and relapsing.

"He's coming back down to earth and trying to figure out his next step," a Disick friend noted. "He wants to do the responsible thing. Now that things have settled down, he's acting like an adult again. He's got a long way to go, but he's taking some steps that are encouraging."

Disick and Kardashian broke up over Fourth of July weekend because of his constant partying and flirtatious behavior with ex-girlfriend Chloe Bartoli. Disick got a lot of heat on social media afterwards and therefore canceled two event appearances.
