Ben Higgins clearly knows he's a frontrunner for The Bachelor's next leading man, if not a shoo-in, so he's certainly considering signing the contract with ABC.

According to multiple sources, Higgins has already been selected as The Bachelor's Season 20 star -- that he's "pretty much a lock" barring any last-minute changes. When E! News asked Kaitlyn Bristowe's ex-boyfriend what he thought of the role at The Men Tell All taping, he seemed prepared and had only positive things to say.

"Doing this experience, you come in skeptical and you walk out of the experience, I did at least, realizing it's a very real thing," Higgins told E! News. "True emotions do evolve and it does give you the opportunity to meet somebody that you could potentially spend the rest of your life with."

Higgins was completely smitten with Bristowe on the show but failed to win her heart. Still, he believes it's possible "to find love through this process."

"I actually ran into Trista and Ryan Sutter this past week," the 26-year-old software salesman said of The Bachelorette's first-season couple, who have been married for almost 15 years and have two children together. "I think seeing them gives me hope that this works."

After all, with online dating and phone apps becoming such a trend, Higgins pointed out that traditional dating is rare nowadays and so The Bachelor process might be just as "effective."

"As weird as it is, you as a man, you get 25 women to date and that's pretty good odds that one of those women is going to be compatible with you," Higgins explained, clarifying that he's canceled whatever accounts he was using. "My Tinder days are done. They existed at one time and they are done now!"

While Higgins' view of The Bachelor seems all fine and dandy, he still reportedly had reservations about whether to star on the show after Chris Soules.

"I had a great experience on the show, from beginning to end... I have a good life, though. I have a job that is steady, I have a house in Denver and I have a great family... I think if the offer was on the table, there'd be things I'd have to consider and seriously consider those things," he added.

The Bachelorette's The Men Tell All special airs Monday, July 20 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
