Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff are reportedly headed for a split.

Although Soules' time is up on Dancing with the Stars, he let the fame get to his head and also got a little too close to professional partner Witney Carson, OK! Weekly reported in its May 11 issue.

Sixth months after Soules popped the question to Bischoff on The Bachelor's nineteenth season, "it's pretty much over," according to an insider.

"Chris thinks he's a big deal now and that Whitney is lucky to be on this ride with him; he's acting like an A-list star," the insider told OK!. "Whitney tries to discuss the wedding and their future and maybe even starting a family, but all he wanted to talk about is his career and the fact that people keep telling him he doesn't have what it takes to be an actor."

Ever since starring on Andi Dorfman's season of The Bachelorette in addition to his own stint on The Bachelor, Soules has insisted he wants to live on his farm in Arlington, IA, with his wife and family. He's claimed to love the small-town lifestyle, however, he initially jumped at the chance to film Dancing with the Stars in Los Angeles.

"[Whitney] thought she was getting engaged to a nice, down-to-earth farmer from Iowa, and instead she is dealing with this Hollywood diva," the insider said. "This is definitely not what she signed up for!"

Bischoff, a 29-year-old fertility nurse, was also reportedly concerned about Soules' obvious connection with 21-year-old Carson, another blonde bombshell.

"Chris and Witney had immediate chemistry -- it was obvious to everyone," noted the insider.

"They couldn't keep their hands off each other. It made Whitney really uncomfortable, but she felt like she couldn't say anything because DWTS is work for Chris. And when she did try talking to him about it, he just laughed and told her she was being paranoid. She felt humiliated."

On April 15, Soules attended a party in LA with both Carson and Bischoff.

"He spent the entire night flirting with Witney and ignoring Whitney. Everyone was commenting on it, talking about how gross he was being!" revealed an eyewitness.

The hours Soules spent rehearsing for the show put a damper on his romance with Bischoff as well, especially since he was preoccupied with work almost immediately after his engagement news was shared with the world and the couple could finally be together in public.

Soules admitted to OK! while he was still competing on Dancing with the Stars that the gig was "harder than I thought, and it makes our relationship tough. I'm busy, and if I'm not there rehearsing, I'm thinking about it."

But on the contrary to what the sources had to say, Bischoff shared a sweet photo on Instagram just a few days ago to mark the sixth-month anniversary of her engagement. She captioned the photo of Soules down on one knee with heart emoticons and wrote it "seems just like yesterday" he proposed.
